Fabulous food, good price and friendly staff
Went here for my Aunt's Wake. Under the circumstances all in all we had a hassle free and fun time.
If I could score zero stars I would. The food was aunt bessies frozen yorkshires and roasts. The portion of meat for 15 was outrageous, the pork which was apparantly loin was most definitely not. There was more fat on it than meat. There was a commotion heard from the kitchen where the Chef was aggressively swearing, cursing and throwing things all directed at the Manageress. Disgusting behaviour for a family to witness. More than one table got up and left or sent food back. I had a plate of meat plonked in front of me and was told my meal would follow. The meat was for a different table. Avoid this inn for food at all costs certainly not value for money. Serving staff were doing the best they could to diffuse the situation in the kitchen and were placed in a no win situation
Good food and service. Unsure regards ales as driving. I got upset over 2.50 for a half pint of lemonade though.... Rip.Family meal. Good surrounds. Well probably be back soon.I'll skip the lemonade.
Tiny portions and food mediocre. Service was good, felt sorry for the servers as they got all the complaints, no evidence of a manager.Would not go back.
